Look Again was created by Milton Keynes City Council with the research and collections of the Council, MK City Discovery Centre and Living Archive MK. Venues and artworks with their archives and stories are constantly being added, to showcase our Design Heritage. Help us expand the trail by giving feedback or joining an event. Fred Roche Gardens

Fred Roche Gardens is a civic park where you see art, architecture and nature come together to create the sense of a “City of Trees”.

Norfolk House and Ashton House

Norfolk House and Ashton House, at the corner of Saxon Gate and Silbury Boulevard, are some of the earliest commercial buildings designed by Milton Keynes Development Corporation (MKDC).

Civic Offices

The Civic Offices are the home of Milton Keynes City Council.

Central Library

Just across the road from centre:mk lies one of Milton Keynes most monumental pieces of modern architecture.

Lloyds Court

Lloyds Court was the first site to be developed in Central Milton Keynes and once it was completed in 1975, it stood out in sketched out dirt grid running through the surrounding fields.

Midsummer Boulevard East – Campbell Park

Originally referred to as the “City Park”, Campbell Park was at the centre of the new city and an integral part of the vision for Milton Keynes from the earliest stages of its design.

Milton Keynes Rose

The Milton Keynes Rose combines the complex and beautiful geometry of a flower with a powerful sense of community, built around shared events of remembrance and celebration.

Station Square

This vast open space was designed as a welcoming urban gateway to Milton Keynes when it was established alongside the opening of Milton Keynes Central Station in 1982.

The Old Bus Station

The former Central Milton Keynes Bus Station, located near Station Square, is notable for its modernist architecture.

Midsummer Boulevard East – The Market

Milton Keynes Market has been a key feature of CMK since establishment in 1979.

Grafton Park

Grafton Park is a secret greenery spot nestled in the heart of Milton Keynes’ urban landscape, offering tranquillity and charm.

Midsummer Boulevard East – The Shopping Building

The Milton Keynes Shopping Building, aka ‘the City’ to locals and now centre:mk, is a bold architectural statement

MK Gallery

If Milton Keynes were a canvas, Milton Keynes Gallery would be the bold splash of colour that makes the whole masterpiece pop.

MK Theatre and Theatre District

The jewel of the city’s entertainment crown is where drama, music, and laughter come alive.

Midsummer Boulevard East – Green Heritage and Future

Central Milton Keynes’ landscaping was created by renowned landscape designers such as Peter Youngman, Neil Higson and Tony Southard.

FutureWorld

FutureWorld in Kents Hill was held in June and July 1994, the third of three housing exhibitions held in Milton Keynes in the 1980s and ’90s designed to showcase forward-thinking and energy efficient house designs.
